REFLECTION
For this project we had to use some famous art nouveau artists as our models and create a piece of art that we carved out on scratch board. The other requirement was that we had to have a picture involving our face and our hands somehow so that then we would be able to print out our picture, cut out all of the skin that would be showing, and paste it onto our art piece and work off of that. We were also encouraged to use as much pattern and texture as we possibly could in our picture. Finally, the third requirement was to cut our pieces of colored paper and glue them into our picture somehow. I tried to be constantly thinking about all of the requirements and the more famous artists final works as well while I was creating my art piece and now because of that mindset I was in I feel that my final product turned out the best that it possibly could.

Bernie Madoff

I chose Bernie Madoff as my villain because Madoff is a man who was a big part of the stock market crisis. He had been running a massive, undercover ponzie scheme in which he was actively taking more and more money for himself instead of investing as much as he said he was investing into the stock market. The result of this was that once his scheme went belly-up, all of his clients were out thousands of dollars. One of his clients even committed suicide because of all the money he had lost to Madoff. This whole situation directly and indirectly affected both my friend’s families and my family in a very negative way. This is why Bernie Madoff was my chosen villain.

Coco Chanel

I chose Coco Chanel as my hero mostly because I relate to her. Coco Chanel was a worldwide-known fashion designer in the 1920's who was a pioneer in the fashion world. She produced fun and beautiful clothing that looked (and was) expensive. First off, I really like her style of clothing, but also I chose her because I myself would like to someday play a major part in the fashion world and what people wear. I am not necessarily saying that I would like to be a fashion designer, but I would like to have some role in putting together clothing with the right accessories for magazines that debut the next up-and-coming fashion trend.
